Pat & Brigid Hickey initially started growing some strawberries and carrots back in 1957 in Cappocksgreen, Ardee. They bought their first ‘bit of ground’ in Townspark, Ardee in 1961. They then started growing carrots for the Dublin Market and things steadily grew, year on year, from there. In 1993 their Sons, Martin & Patrick took over the reins and have been competently growing the business since then. Martin’s Son, Gerard is now also involved and helps manage things on a daily basis along with Martin and Patrick. Pat sadly passed away in 2007 but his legacy lives on. Nowadays we supply over 10,000 tonne of potatoes to the Irish market annually along with 8,000 tonne of carrots. We also grow 4,000 tonne of grain and keep around 350 cattle on the farm.
We are passionate about maintaining our extremely high standards which are Bord Bia quality approved. We strive to promote home grown produce and healthy eating. We aim to deliver the best quality produce to all our customers be they large or small.
